I agree. He is a great fighter in any era. Truly blessed in the skill department.

Very impressive again. He has dominating skill. Through the super six and this fight, the outcome hasn't been in question. One thing he lacks, and he mentioned it in the post fight interview, is the ability after he has taken control of the fight to just take the guy out. I defer to the more knowledgeable but I wonder if that's a result of his fighting opposite handed.

I pegged Dawson to win and what Ward did was amazing. Weight issues
a possibility, but you can't take anything away from Ward. That was
as professional an execution as it gets.

If he stopped boxing today he already has a hof resume. Wins over kessler, froch, abraham, and now dawson. People have gotten into hof with a less impressive resume. Honestly who could even give him some competiton? Pascal? He'd get beat even worse. Cloud? It would be a total mismatch. I know the ones who laid eyes on golovkin last week will say him but i just dont see it. Chavez jr? That would be mayweather-gatti. Martinez? Hes clearly stated he doesnt want to move up.

How would Pascal get beat worse? None of Wards punches would phase him.

Are we talking about the same 4 rd fighter who couldnt keep up w/the pace of a fight set by a 47 yr old man?

Yeah, but also the guy who beat Dawson at a weight he wasn't drained at.
Which goes to say that styles can make fights unpredictable. Pascal may get schooled by Ward but no way does he look as dead and lethargic as Dawson did tonight. I mean wtf are you expecting, Ward to knock down Pascal twice as many times? Dawson got annihilated, even bums have looked better against Ward.
