These 2 are looking more alike each fight Ward competes in. Both of their opponents had trouble figuring out their many styles of fighting. Both were slick well rounded boxers who can box in a very entertaining fashion. I'd like to ask RJJ his opinion on this comment.

I'm a huge fan of both fighter, and consider RJJ a a top 20 ATG P4P, however RJJ didn't always fight the best competion, and in a young carrer ward has dominated all the top talent put in front of him thus far. Ward lacks the power of RJJ, but looks similar when using his awkard style and fustrating his opponent's will.

Ok, we have all seen your video 100 times. The second any thread start in praise of RJJ it takes you 1min to post it again. Ok, I understand RJJ has been ko'd. Are you on here 24/7 waiting to post on pro RJJ comments or something. Do you have an alarm on your computer that tell you when somebody has typed RJJ on ESB?

agree, just asking if other fans see a similar style in ward's early carrer?

I think some fans are taking my comment as ward beats RJJ, that is not my point. I just see similar style, habits and skills. I know ward is not nearly the fighter of RJJ yet.

See.... this comparison can only be made by simps who dont remember how special the 90's Jones was.

There really is no comparison. Not only do the two have different styles, but plain and simple..... Ward couldnt shine Roy's shoes.

Allen Green lasts 3 rounds TOPS with a young Roy.

While Ward's victories over Kessler, Miranda and Green are fairly impressive (Kessler especially) i'm not getting carried away on the hype just yet.

Don't get me wrong i like Ward lets see how well he does in the next few years before drawing Ward RJJ comparisons i think a lot of people are getting carried away with Ward TBH

    Agreed

I'm unsure whether prime Roy Jones beats the following guys at light heavyweight:

    Michael Spinks
    Bob Foster
    Michael Moorer

I dunno about Roy beating Spinks, Foster, and Charles at 175.

He beats everyone ever at 168 though for certain.

The comparisons are actually quite ******ed. They dont even fight alike. Roy had his own unique style that was compelling to watch cause it was so unpredictable, yet faciniating to watch because of how talented he was. Ward just has an effective, but very ugly and boring style.

Ward has good handspeed, but not NEARLY as fast as Jones was. And of course Ward lacks the big thing Roy had...... POWER.

ok......he fights nothing like RJJ. He should be compared to Bernard Hopkins if anything. Very cagey, high ring IQ and versatile.
