The British sky team made a point of asking the question why Ward had not travelled out to the fight especially as his stable mate was fighting and even Kahn was standing by Hunter in the ring. Also why did Hunter fly his fighter out so late before a fight, no way to shake off the lag? Roach would not make errors like that I think.
I can't answer either point, but they were both dumb decisions. For Ward, he missed a great chance at increasing his visibility so he could stay home and eat at Applebee's. The dude's this era's Winky Wright.
Andre Ward is still ranked number #1 at super middleweight, hes had what 2 fights in 2 years!? Froch's resume, is now better than Ward's. Where are you Andre? prove yourself, come to England.

I agree with this. The current p4p top 3 fighter, best super middle in the world, and he's had 2 fights in 2 years and no one outside of real boxing fans would have a clue who he is. Partly he's a member of the who needs him club, very high chance of ward beating whoever he fights, but he doesn't sell tickets, does nothing to market himself, and if he retired would be forgotten in a month. For his ability, he's going to leave boxing with much less deep pockets than likes of froth and kessler.
Hunter is so over rated as a trainer.Ward is simply stupid.Nice combination. Strangely,for these two it seems to work,but time is ticking and Ward is becoming irrelevent,as will Hunter.
He is not fighting as he has issues with his promoter. Froch does not have a better record than Ward Ward completely dominated Froch with an injury, you really think Froch beats Ward in a rematch?!!Ward would stop him. There's a reason why Froch wants Chavez next.
Ward has nothing to prove in this regard. He already schooled Froch once, another fight does nothing for Ward (except give a payday, which he probably really could use). Ward is #1 he shouldn't have to travel anywhere to get fight offers. That being said I do think he handles his career poorly, but there's no logic in saying that Froch should be his main focus.
