Cannot see this coming off as a PPV? Its only 7 weeks away and no fights have been scheduled.

DeGale vs Groves and Cleverly vs Braehmer would be fights that could headline a Mag 7 style card but they will not be ready unless those fights are confirmed pronto.

Macklin has left Warren, Brook is no close to a title fight, Mitchell is coming back from injury, Gavin has said he won't be on the March card, Chisora is fighting Klitscko. Bellew also won't have two fights in a month.

    Best i can see is

    DeGale vs Anderson
    Cleverly vs Lakatos
    Brook vs Demyanenko
    Smith vs Simpson 2
    Mitchell vs Arthur

5 fights at that level not enough for a PPV.

More likely to be April 30th I'd have thought.

Sky won't do two PPVs in 2 weeks and Warren won't want Cleverly, DeGale, Brook etc sitting on the fence for 5 1/2 months.

IF Clev, Brook, Degale et al were fighting in March they'd already be training.

I don't see this going ahead.

Doesn't look good does it. We may see these fighters split now, have Cleverly and Degale on opposite cards in March or April, both on regular sky sports. Wouldn't be such a bad thing either, as it exposes both guys to a greater audience. Have Brook supporting one, with Mitchell supporting the other. Throw in a Gavin and Bellew on each card and we have two cracking Saturday Fight Night shows to look forward to.

    Agree.

DeGale vs Anderson with Mitchell on the undercard in London
Cleverly vs Lakatos with Brook on the undercard in Cardiff.

So March 19th at the 02 Arena. Warren must have something big planned.

He will need Groves vs DeGale and Cleverly in a world title fight to come close to selling the 02.

I'd definitely go to the London card! Would be a great night. The only thing I would disagree with is Degale - Anderson, it's a huge risk fight with not much reward IMO. Anderson has good power which James hasn't felt yet, but even if Degale beats him, Groves has already 'laid the blueprint' as mayweather would say. Don't get me wrong, it's a cracking fight, one which Degale needs IMO, but I just don't see it.

How about throwing degale in with Jesse Brinkley? The guy was stopped by Bute last time out, but if degale does a better job on him than Bute did, the whole world would take notice.it's very much winnable and will give him a good platform to challenge for a world title later this year.

    bull****.

Gavins already said he aint fighting in much. i cant see Warren selling 20,000 at the 02. their have to shut off the upper tier which wont be a bad thing. great arena aswell.

I love these type of threads , my favourite idea so far is to split the bill for the two brilliant sounding saturday fight nights

S'pose I don't really, but usually everything is done and dusted by the point.
