Frampton saw his record and had no respect for his power, and assumed if they both started swinging his shots would be significantly harder. I think even a past prime Frampton had enough to win if he fought the right fight
It was a great fight and I remember the first round being explosive. That was also a shame that night clashed with the Whyte-Chisora rematch. I remember watching one of the cards on my phone and the other on TV that night.
Splitting with McGuigan was the end too. They made a great partnership but I guess if you're not getting paid then you have to do what's best.

Shane has lost 4 fighters because of his dad in Frampton, Taylor, Lee McGregor and Cameron. Surely he can see the problem.
They made a really good team together but nobody will accept being sold short when it comes to being paid. Shane must also be the only trainer in the UK to have an unbeaten Heavyweight British fighter at the end of his career - Mr Freddie Flintoff. Flintoff needed the Brendan Ingle voice directing him around the circles on the gym floor - yellow, red, green and blue to get those feet moving.
Corner got it all wrong for Frampton and Warrington. Feet stuck to the floor and no lateral movement. McGuigan got the best out of him
but was that not due to MGMarbella being able to not ask for a managment or coaching fee? i get it...but surely it was an example of shady get rich quick hustle culture offer than actual managment?
