Besides Salido coming in at a different weight class, low blowing him the whole night, he did nothing to win those round. Body shots do not equal head shots. Salido literally did not win a single round.

If Lomachenko had a good name in the pros like a Mayweather he would have won an easy victory.

Foul-filled fight(by both sides) but Lomanchenko spent most of the fight hugging Salido. He started to beat Salido by the end of the fight but by then it was too late, Salido had won most of the rounds.

I like Lomachenko but I was almost praying that he'd not get the decision and that Salido wouldn't get robbed.

    LOL!
Lomachenko let the opportunity slip through his fingers and lost. Simple as that.
Unless your last name is Klitscho and you are fighting in Germany, you can't win a boxing match by hugging your opponent all night.

He lost the fight for 2 reasons:

#1. He wasn't active enough in the first 4 rounds probably because he was saving himself in case he had to go the distance. This is 100% on Loma and his father and their Professional inexperience.

#2. He was fighting a Welterweight who refused to make weight. That isn't Loma's fault.

I would think they would have learned from #1 and he will not hold back this weekend.

    Sure.
All those jabs and hooks that bounced off Kessler and Froch's head and jaws was just window dressing.

Lomachenko wasn't busy enough and by letting Salido be first damn near the whole night showed he doesn't know how to create his own offense. Salido looked like the ring general and judges look for the fighter dictating the pace.
