What a cowardly lame performance Sykes showed in todady's fght against Povetkin!! Povetkin should have better fought someone like Denis Bakhtov or Sedrick Fields instead! At least they wouldnt have entered the ring to give it a try!
I don't often call fighters cowards, but Sykes is definitely one of the very very few that deserves that title. He was clinching and running from Povetkin for deal life from the first round on. And yeah it is sad that people think Toney is "back" because Rahman struggled Sykes, and could have arguably lost.

I agree with this. And, no, it's not because of some white vs black food fight reason. If you look at the history of professional sports, the group that does the best is often the most disadvantaged one. There were many great Jewish fighters 60-70 years ago, if I recall correctly. Where are they now? In law school. They don't need boxing for money. And as rough as some of the ghettos are in this country, that's nothing like being from a bombed-out country or a country which has just become free after decades of having a closed, controlled society. Many of the Eastern European fighters are 'hungrier' than American fighters. That's why they come into their fights in shape and don't show up looking like James Toney. When you get two fighters together of basically the same ability, the fitter, more desperate fighter usually wins. I think Eastern Euros will be thriving in boxing for some time to come.
I agree. That was the worst fighter I think I have ever seen fight. Povetkin shoudl have taken him out in the first or second round. Wlad is gonna eat Povetkin alive.
