anyone else have a weak chin, glass mandible. this isnt a troll thread for the chincheckers to raid. just a honest question and honest answers. id happy admit my chin isnt strong atl all,got stopped in my second fight, i dont know if this a huge clue but it couldnt recover in a round and a half, before getting put down again  or at least my recovery rate after getting hit flush isnt too good. ah well i suppose we cant all have granite chins. need to tighten up the defense big time.
weak chin means bad defense, non awareness and too much self confidence. that glass jaw is bull****..somebody can have weak chin but you cant say that some world champions have a glass jaw when they had over 200 amateur matches and they are champions in pros.. they just came on a very high level where their holes in defense and non awareness of shots cropped out
Tell us about your childhood? A lot of rotation/g-force (swingsets/spinning things/headbanging/etc.)? How is your hydration/weight leading up to the fight? How have you been dropped/describe what you recall about how you felt? Drinking/smoking/drugs/meds/blood sugar/conditions? Height/weight class? All kinds of stuff can be a reason. You might be stoppable but you might not have a disgraceful Amir Khan glass jaw.
Unfortunately, some people are just more prone to it than others. But you can definitely improve your defense, as suggested. And strengthen your neck to help it. Be mindful of keeping your mouth closed. I can't say I have the same problem, but I have been rocked a few times and managed to stay composed, and mask it. So, it's not the end of the world, you can work with a shaky jaw. Maybe just don't have your heart set on going pro, that's all.
never been dropped in sparring, never been massively hurt in sparring. i did lose alot of weight to get to 140 quite quickly. i used to drink quite heavily in my teenage years never smoked :-( british culture height 5'9 weight class light welterweight. A lot of rotation/g-force (swingsets/spinning things/headbanging/etc.)? well i had a car accident young and broke my jaw ^^ if they means anything.
strengthen your neck by attaching a weight to a head guard and moving your head up and down, also move your head so your chin is above your shoulder and press your chin down towards your shoulder. but be very careful not to hurt your neck because your neck is very delicate. but increasing muscle on your neck can help you bounce back from a shot better.
thx guys all good ye ive got quite a skinny neck as it is, biggish head. but i do think my defense is very leaky, especially on the front foot.
lol that reminds me when my brother was sparring with big pad gloves with target in the middle :rofl was blocking everything and looked huge only when he turned the glove outwards did i notice the big white spot in the middle.
