How come in the lower weights, weight gaps between divisons are small.. 118,122,126,30
4-5 pounds while from light welterweight and going up has 7-8 pounds gap?
    140,147,154,160,168...
    Why not 140, 145, 150, 155, etc?

Because the ratio to the boxer's total weight must stay aproximately the same.
