Amazing performance from Floyd. Pacquaio, Calzaghe, Hopkins, RJJ in recent years have been great but this guy is something completely different all together. Amazing level of performance. You also felt that if he really wanted to, if he was really pushed, he could have got Marquez out of there later on if the mood took him. He is just in a completely different league to anyone from the last 15 years or so. You can't teach anybody to fight like Mayweather, he just does what he does because he understands distance, timing and movement better than any other boxer around. Instinctively, he knows what to do when. I can't imagine anybody else currently fighting who could make a top level fighter look distinctly average like Mayweather did last night. I felt so sorry for Marquez towards the end, it was a completely lost cause after 4-5 rounds but he still tried his best and deserves some credit for that. But screw the weight difference, Marquez only hit Mayweather a couple of times in 12 rounds. The biggest shock of the night was that two of the judges found a reason to give Marquez a round or two! Surely a sympathy vote! Floyd is exceptional... he understands boxing to a level that others can only dream of and is in the shape to perform as he wishes. We've missed out on 2 years of him unfortunately. But now he's back, he ain't gonna lose anytime soon, no matter who he fights. All hail the returning p4p number 1 !
I'll praise him when he fights real competition. A guy with his talent should be taking all comers, BECAUSE HE CAN BEAT THEM ALL....but he doesnt do that and picks the path of least ressistance.
Go and hide hater. Floyd literally beat the **** out of Marquez. Save your silly comments and just admit he is the man. hater!!!:tong
Calzaghe, Tszyu and Roy Jones are still a some way ahead of Mayweather in terms of ability. Mayweather is maybe the 4th best of our generation. Don't forget the guy was given trouble by Zab Judah for 4 rounds, tonight was a flattering clash of styles.
Floyd cheated by coming in a heavier weight then he suppose to be, he also beat a old, slow and shot version of Marquez.
I didnt watch the fight, because it was about 3am in Poland But the score is very impressive. I didnt expect such difference. Pacquiao vs Mayweather should be a huge fight if both sides agree to fight. As I said I didnt watch the fight, but I have big respect now to PBF for not fighting so long and making such big return.
Floyd is fast and slick, yes, we know. All he showed tonight was his willingness to sit back and outpoint a man two divisions out of his depth without a snowball's chance in hell of winning. Pacquiao and Mosley's recent performances were far more meaningful and far more convincing.
Zab got tired, as he cannot pace himself. Admittedly he only won the rounds due to the instense effort he put in. But this didn't happen to Cotto and it took Tszyu one round to adapt.
