A growing trend amongst refs, but this was for a title. Still, Groves was giving him a tanking and I think he would have KO'd him eventually.
Bull**** stoppage. Can you imagine that happening on an American card in front of a US audience?! or worse, a Mexican card?! It's all too common on British cards
Lets not get it twisted. Groves was 100% winning that fight but that was an awful stoppage. Adamu had his left hand up ready to jab but he gets stopped
echo all those comments, groves would have won every round after the stoppage - but that isn't a good reason to stop it, adamu should have been given the chance to pull out that lottery punch, he wasn't damaged nor in danger.
yeah, and there was always the chance that Groves would have run out of gas. He's only been EIGHT rounds once, nevermind TWELVE. A very very small chance that Adamu would have succeeding, but the man deserved the benefit of the doubt. He wasn't badly hurt.
Complete bull**** even if Groves was winning easily. Even if Adamu was in trouble (which he wasn't,) it was only 9 seconds or something from the end of the round. Thought Groves looked good though.
