Yeah I watched that, but I'm sure I remember them having a fight on every other Saturday or something, such a shame that boxing's such an unpopular sport now :-(

Boxing was just one of many things that was cut by ITV after the company made a massive loss.

Only because GBP gave it them for free after they failed to agree a deal with Sky.

Maybe, I can just remember watching Fury vs McDermott 1 and fights like that, fair enough they weren't huge fights..But it was something to watch on a Saturday night, I think that's probably it.

That was a Maloney card on Sky, mate.

Although Furys first 5 or so fights were on ITV1/ITV4.

Am I right in that Murray vs Thaxton was the last ITV4 show?

:patsch silly me, I must be getting muddled up..It will have been one of his first few fights. And I'm unsure about the Murray/Thaxton fight. I should really keep more up to date on things

Like with some other sports, well football, Boxers wages just shot through the roof and they could no longer afford it.

What? No they don't - they have next to no programming budget. They even cut back on their sports spend.
