We all saw a more controlled side to him in his last fight against Fernando Vargas...but since then I've hardly heard anything

Now 7 months since he last fought. Anyone with an update on what he's up to? or with rumours on whom he's going to fight next?

so frustrating Don King fighters often are so inactive

Don King is most probably lining him up for another undeserved title shot.

ive heard him talked up for opponents

    Mosley
    Pavlik
    Cotto
    ect

    Yet nothing...

i love mayorga, thing is this

    Hes not serious

He doesnt care about legacy, he doesnt care about winning or losing so long as he can get that payday... which hey, thats his buisness to do that.

But... i mean, if he was serious, he should have gotten back into training camp soon after the feroz fight and have already fought again, even if it was a bull**** fight.

i dont know i get very fustrated with him

mayorga was something else at one time... the finishing shots he landed on 6 heads would have dented almost anybodies chin

Moving up the way he did for Trinidad was enough proof that he's not serious.

Unfortunately, I'm a Ricardo Mayorga fan, to a degree, as well. This means I'm also frusterated with his career decisions (no skill inside the ring OR outside of it).

Just for the record, he loses to Mosley, Pavlik, and Cotto.

The perfect fight for Mayorga right now would be one of the following:

    Verno Phillips

    Cory Spinks Rematch

    Or Vernon Forrest Rematch

I think these would have the best risk-reward ratio for Mayorga.

I'd love to see Mayorga vs. Verno.
