I hope he learned his lesson from this fight, you can't ignore your defense against a 277lbs man who punches hard, maybe a rematch would be fairest but I honestly wouldn't like to see him against Zhang again. Hrgovic now has to train even harder and work on many things, and he even needs to recover after this fight.
Deontay Wilder would be an interesting opponent for Hrgovic. A bigger challenge for Hrgović than Zhilei Zhang. A bigger challenge for Wilder than Robert Helenius.
He has been fighting low level bums for too long and has got into bad habits where he doesn’t defend himself. Especially when he has finished a flurry and is retreating. Zhang found it so easy to walk in on him and land when he was retreating. He needs another fight at Zhang’s level or above. Going back to fighting bums again isn’t going to help him.
Surely ur having a laugh??? Pulev and Chisora a tougher challenge for him than Wilder?? I have zero time for Wilder but he would eventually catch Hrgovic and stop him
I think Hrgovic should seriously consider whether his heart is in boxing - it was such a strange uneven showing, where for small spells he would box really well, then would look disinterested and even turn away, giving Zhang major opportunities. It was like 2 different fighters in there battling for control of his muscles! One thing for sure though, he has shown he can take some hellacious shots - his chin is really good!
Hrgovic only just scraped a win vs Aging Zhang who was unfortunate. He'd get destroyed vs Usyk, Fury or Wilder.
Hrgovic was a serious disappointment. No finesse or guile, far too open and sloppy. Whether it's bad habits or believing his own hype, he's a long way off World level at the moment and honestly I doubt he ever gets there.
