After he blasts out Agnew, what's next for Kovalev? A potential star making fight against Stevenson is now out the window. Hopkins and Shumenov are a no go as well. Pascal has the same promoter as Stevenson and there are rumors that he is going to sign with Haymon. So that option is out. Ward is sorting out promotional issues and may want to stay at 168, so who knows about that. It looks like Chavez Jr. is the best bet, but he has a really difficult fight coming up. It was looking really good for Kovalev until the Stevenson debacle. It looks like he'll have to wait a little longer for his shot.

He could fight Chilemba or the winner of Braehmer-Maccarinelli.

Hopefully a fight against Stevenson as soon as possible. Both will destroy their next opponents within the first 3 rounds. It will be easier than a sparring, therefore I hope without much time recover, we wil lsee them fight in summer.

    Kovalev vs. Pascal... maybe?

Kovalev vs. Dawson... I wouldn't put it past them and, in all honesty, a W over him still means more than one over most everyone else in the division.

I like the above shout for the Braehmer vs. Enzo winner... obviously only if it's Braehmer.

    Kovalev would retire Enzo.

Retire? It would be a long term health altering beating and I'm not joking.

Kovalev might retire him from life. I'd hope Enzo's team has better sense than to make that matchup.

Yeah i would hate Enzo to fight Kovalev i mean i wish him nothing but the best of luck next week but Kovalev would KO him brutally and i'd actually fear for Enzo's safety considering how Kovalev destroyed Silakh and has killed another boxer.

Pascal has the same promoter as Stevenson and he might be signing with Haymon. So that might not be an option. Dawson was knocked out in 1 round by Stevenson. I don't think that fight has much appeal right now .

Braehmer shagged ass out of the WBO rankings as soon as he was the mandatory for Kovalev.
He holds the WBA World title now and (in theory)should be in the mix for a shot at the Hopkins v Shumenov winner.

Hopefully a fight against Pascal at some point. If they can make that happen in Quebec, it would widen his audience there and give more weight to a future Stevenson match up.

But then it's not a fight I'd expect Kovalev to have an easy time with.

That's a good thing. He needs rounds. He'd still win by KO though.
