Are people gonna go back and give Tarver his credit for ending Roy Jones Jr. reign as p4p 4 yrs. ago when they fought, or they gonna still say Roy was shot in that second fight? Roy was shot after Tarver knocked him out, and that was apparent, but he wasn't shot in that second fight, infact that's the fastest and most motivated he's looked in the last 4yrs. He also had Mackie Shilstone condition him for that second fight, which people fail to acknowledge, so this fight this week will make people look back at that second fight with Tarver and hopefully people will give Tarver his due.

Look he beat a faded RJJ, prime RJJ Ko's his ass. Tarver to me will always be a guy who was in the right place at the right time. Tarver was never anything special and Dawson will prove that this weekend.

Ok, but if Dawson doesn't will you give Tarver the credit for beating Roy Jones in that second fight.

If he beats Dawson(which I doubt) I will give him some respect but that doesn't change Roy was over the hill and Tarver was in the right place on the right time

Well I guess your gonna give him the credit, cause if your giving some credit, than he's getting credit for it. Reality hasn't sunk in yet until he kicks Dwason's ass this saturday, but just pop this thread up after saturday night so you can give him some credit like you said.

Not really because it does not change the fact that RJJ was past his prime.

It would be a cracking win.

I think I favour Dawson, though.

If Roy beats Calzaghe, THEN Tarver gets more props for that win. Tarver beating Dawson would be big for Tarver, but it has NOTHING to do with Jones.
