Where did Sergei disappear to? He got whupped by Valuev, and then there was talk of a bout between him and James Toney, but that never materialized, and I haven't heard anything since? Where is he?

Yeah, no kidding. It's like this guy dropped off the face of the earth. A few years back he was really being touted.

Sergei was a really good boxer his only problem was that he couldn't adapt into fighting much bigger fighters (Valuev, Briggs..) When he's faced with a huge animal in the ring like Valuev, he's completely lost and he don't know what hes doing. The fact that he also came in over weight during his fight vs Valuev also showed his lack of confidence. Such a shame really, cause Briggs didn't do ****, he lost that fight... One lucky ass punch : /

I felt really bad for Segei cause at least he is a exciting fighter. Pit him in the ring vs a man his size such as Brewster or Byrd or Ibragimov, and your bound to produce a good fight. Put Valuev or Briggs in the ring vs anyone today and your bound 99% of the time to get a boring and dull fight.

I think lack of good training was also key to his downfall.
