Sadly i think that spells the end for John. His last display he shipped plenty and had wear and tear on face and miles are well and truly on the clock.

I don't believe his has the ability within him to become any better a fighter at this stage. I said for ages that he's to one dimensional although felt he'd win this and at times has success. He just doesn't cut it against likes of Acosta/Rios/JMM and even Katsidis.

No point moving up i think he can be proud of achievements but he's achieved the maximum for a man of his talents. He doesn't punch hard enough to get away with his limitations at world level.

IMO no trainer can change Murray, he doesnt have any skills really to develop, apart from a good chin that is it. A fight with Prescott maybe, that very fashionable these days with domestic level fighters

i would imagine he will go up to 140lbs. but that won't help him. theres reason he cant make 135 well and its not down to him outgrowing the weight.

I love how as soon as someone suffers their first defeat it's supposed to be game over! :patsch

Murray can come again. Mitchell did well tonight. Murray hadn't been in with anyone as good as him before and, granted, should've stepped up sooner. With his style he isn't gonna go on years and years, but provided he learns from this he's got something left to offer without a doubt.

You cant be serious mate, its only one loss to a very good fighter, dont be so quick to throw Murray aside.

He goes back to the drawing board, works on his flaws and returns in a good domestic match up en route to European level and then hopefully beyond.

I'm very serious. He won't reach world honors and his style isn't going to leave much longevity to his career. He's not got a lot of miles on the clock IMO. The previous fight to tonight proved that. He can win European title again maybe and Domestic honors but really he'd just be fighting for sake of it and £££ to bank.

If i was him i'd end it on a high and say farewell with a few bob in bank. He's not gonna reach world level. Mitchell's a good fighter but he's not one of top operator's.

Lets face it though, you are a complete ******.

What happened with the Tennis..? You spit you're dummy over someone losing..?

Me Daft..? You are meant to be a passionate fan of boxing. And you came to a conclusion to totally disregard the sport in general, and talk about focusing all you're attentions on Tennis and Football.

"Because you're mates, and more people in general are showing more interests in these sports"

Thats weak and shallow, and shows you're not really a hardcore fan like many others here.

    You ******.

You never know though, maybe many of us (including me) just underestimated how good Mitchell really was, he put on a terrific performance. I would give Murray a crack at a comeback before I think about writing him off.
