The area right between the shoulders. That part of the upper chest is the first thing to move before the hands fly.
At the target ,,THE CHIN ,,you can also sometimes with experiance see the movement of the shoulders where the next punch is coming from
Chest, bro. Watch what has to move to deliver a punch. It's also, generally, a good bet to aim for the chest against moving targets. More likely to get a good shot, and not air.
Exactly, 123ko seems to think you should focus on the chin :nono the head moves and as you said aim for the chest you will catch them on the chin as they roll and or slip. if you look at the chin your going to have a hard time seeing those shots coming, and your opponent knows where your eyes are he knows what your zoning in on, looking at the chest you can see his movements while at the same time he will not know where your planning to score
Watching the chin might work and help target with stationary fighters, but the only thing it would help against a Joe Frazier type would be helping you miss. Chest, chest, chest. I've heard some say shoulders, but I think that we might just be talking about the same thing, as you sort of watch both.
look at the chin you will see the head slip & shoulders turn ,,hit what you see look at the shoulders you see a block of muscle slips are for straight Punch's ,,,,Rolls are for hooks don't try to hit what might be there,,,learn how ,when & why ,,thats boxing ,,it works for me
:good State of constant alertness without falling into a one fixed point of focal concentration. For a guideline or default though, yes, sternum.
Looking means you are waiting for something to happen. What you should be Doing is making it Happen, through movement and Shifts and Cons.
