Chuvalo was stopped but never dropped. Cobb took the best Earnie Shavers could offer square on the chin and didn't budge. And I was saying Mercer fought some big punchers, learn to read and comprehend.

Not getting into the worry Ali's chin wasn't the best, but Cobb, McCall and Chuvalo have the majority of the forum agreeing they had fantastic chins, and there are many factors involved if we want to compare them chin only to Ali. Their chins are beyond reproach IMO.

Jose Ribalta wasnt afraid to take on anyone. Shame he never became the champ at any stage.
Ali wasn't taking the punches flush like they were, and he got decked a few times. Just because Shavers wasn't prime anymore doesn't mean he still wasn't a massive hitter. I never said the people I mentioned took on as many big hitters as Ali, but I said they had better chins. Ali had a great chin, but it wasn't the best.
Holmes: Williams Norton Shavers x 2 Weaver Cooney Witherspoon Bonecrusher Smith Mercer Williams, Weaver, Shavers, Smith and Cooney were all monster punchers.
Holyfield fought Tyson twice, Foreman, Lewis twice, Bowe three times. Pretty good resume of big punchers there :good
