Based on KO percentage: Gennady Golovkin 27 fights /24 KOs= 88% Gerald McClellan has an 85%KO ratio. 29KOs /34 fights Julian Jackson 49 knockouts / 61 fights = 80% KO John Mugabi was up at about 78% = 39KOs /50 fights. Marvin Hagler had 78% = 52KOs /67 fights Stanley Ketchel had 75%= 64 fights 48 KOs. Rocky Graziano 77 fights /52 KOs= 62% Carlos Monzon 100 fights/ 59 KOs= 59% It doesn't tell the whole story such as skill or opposition, but it gives you an idea. There are also some middleweights that grew out of the division and wound up fighting as light-heavyweights like Archie Moore.
Golovkin has face nobody...He shouldnt be mentioned in a thread with someone like Monzon or Hagler....

Hagler and Monzon were sharp, hard hitters. But they weren't power punchers. Ketchel, Fitzsimmons, Steele, Hostak, Langford, Lausse, Carter, Briscoe, Hart, Rankins, etc. Those were power punchers.

Hmmm, I thought this post was comparing just Graziano, Monzon, and Hagler? They say the rock threw his right hand like an axe.
Saw Rocky Graziano from a prelim fighter up to his ruination by Tony Zale. Graziano threw a right hand like he was throwing a hand grenade...He needed punching space to lob his grenades...A street fighter to the core !
If Monzon wasn't plagued with arthritis, progressively into his title reign, he would have impressed more with his power, which was still damned good. Maybe having to rely less on that once big right hand made him into the great fighter that he was. He was the greatest middleweight champ.
**** percentages... 30 fights, 23 KOs looks great, 136 fights, 47 KOs don't look so good... however would the same man with 30 fights be able to maintain that with 5 Times as many fights over 15 - 20 years??? Percentages (%) and CompuBox and such Stats are a load of _HIT!
