Whitaker's best performance

    Yep. That was his absolute peak right there. Throw in the Nazario fight as well.

    Whitaker at that stage in his career was one of the best lightweights ever, and in general one of the most complete fighters I've ever seen.

    Funny... I was watching the Nazario fight. Juan didn't land at all.

    IMO, his most underrated performance was against Vazquez. His jab was really on the money throughout that fight. I thought he done really well.

    Azumah Nelson and JC Vasquez.
    Vasquez was a huge 154-pounder and the best light-middle in the world because Terry Norris was too incosistent.Whitaker's jab came through often and Vasquez's offensive arsenal was completely ineffective.

    I think his fight with Oscar De La Hoya should be consiered among his best performances. Concerding that he was past his best and De La Hoya was at his peak. The fight was more competive than the official scorecards show and there are plenty of people who think Whitaker won. I'm not saying that it was his best performance but it should be considered.
