Who could go up 10 pounds from the normal weight and still go the distance with Hopkins?

To put the fight into context.

Pavlik went the distance with Hopkins 10 pounds above his usual weight, as did Trinidad. Trinidad is not looked at as overrated, why should Pavlik be? Pavlik wasn't the one of the two to get KTFO.

Some perspective is needed in the middle of all the euphoria for some over Hopkins win and the sadness for others over Pavlik's loss.

Pavlik looked like a sparring partner thats why and Trinidad wasn't 17 years younger and a 5/1 on favourite.

Two things: 1. Youth is not necessarily an advantage. 2. It changes nothing about the actual fight what bookmakers think before the fight - a fight is a fight and the bookmakers do not throw or parry a single punch.
