Saw this argument in another thread, so I figured I would make a poll. There isn't much debate in my opinion, but here it goes Roy Jones Jr or Joe Calzaghe, who had faster hands?
Roy, without a doubt. It wasn't just his speed, it was his overall shot selection, with power and accuracy. Joe had very fast hands. But a lot of his shots missed, and a lot were cuffs. Roy threw double and triple hooks, went to the body, threw uppercuts from either hand etc. Meldrick Taylor had blazing hand speed, but he didn't have Roy's shot selection. We need to find that 1-2, that Roy hit Reggie Johnson with. That was insane! It was super fast even in slow motion.
All this poll will show is the ridiculous levels of hate Calzaghe gets on here, while the sanitary fighting steroid cheat gets almost as much love as "prime Tyson" :barfatsch
No it will show how obnoxious some calzaghe fans are. It is one thing to say that one will beat the other. That is something that is opinionated and can be debated. On the other hand you can SEE the hand speed of both fighters, and it is quite apparent who is faster, as the thread has shown so far.
Easily Jones. Calzaghe was never close. Jones was faster and better than Calzaghe at everything in Jones' prime.
Is this a joke. Roy Jones had the fastest hands in boxing.... Joe has no where near his speed. Prime for prime of course
