hello. i would like to know whether anybody could hurt floyd mayweather in a fight? it seems quite impossible that a man was never in trouble or danger?

do you think ricky hatton can do that? i really like the hitman and he has got power. when he hits floyd it will show us how great the pretty boy is.

Yea the worst I've seen him hurt was definitely against Corley. I'll give him credit though, he gained his composure pretty quick and went on to win an easy decision.

It depends what 'hurt' means in your book. There various words that we fight fans use pretty loosely that mean varying degrees of the same concept.

    Rocked. Stunned. Hurt. Wobbled.

For me, being hurt does not necessarily imply being close to a KD or KO. It simply means being tagged and showing signs that you didn't like the power. One of those signs is being hit and then shaking your head or laughing. It's a knee jerk reaction.

Using that definition, Floyd has been hurt several times. Castillo, Corley, Judah and Oscar come to mind. Yes, I said Oscar. I remember Oscar hitting flush with a right and Floyd clinching and laughing.

    Hurt.

Chop-chop and Zab both defintely hurt him, but he has a really good ability to recover, which imo is as good as being iron chinned. Im interseted to see what Hatton can do to him noone has really gone with a body assault and seen if he can still move as well as he does.

I think he should probably be able to box ricky to an UD but with the kind of swarming and body work that Hattons gonig to give him I think hes in for a rough night. If he comes out of that as a winner then he definitely gets my respect.

i guess pbf does get hurt and his chin is not that solid. the key is to finish the job when he is hurt and not give him the chance to recover.

hatton is a good finisher, right? the question is if he will be able to land solidly at all to hurt pbf either by a head or body shot.

Corley. Also Hernandez hurt him by breaking his hands with his head.

so you're telling me that Corley can rock him, but no one talks **** and says he is chinny. even though, he was visibly hurt by a hit to the chin. but when cotto gets hit with a good shot on the temple and he is clearly hurt, all of suddent he has no chin. what kind of double standard is that???

He didn't hurt him, but Augustus roughed him up on the ropes and hit PBF plenty in their fight, despite getting his ass beat.

The difference is, his reaction was subtle. Where as Cotto's reaction has been to do the drunken kung fu dance.

:rofl True. Also Cotto has done that dance on more than one occasion. His chin definitely is suspect. :deal Although his Heart and Ability to Recover has been tested and Proven.

Cotto's ability to recover is sick , he could be on ***** street from a great punch one moment and the next he's all over you .

Mayweather has shown a good ability to recover too , but he can be hurt .

There is no double standard. After that fight there was about 300 threads talking about Floyds supposed china chin and there was even a bunch of idiots picking Gatti to KO him (and I mean a lot of idiots) saying that if Corley could stun him Gatti would KTFO him.

It's just that the fight was a long time ago and since then, he has faced some big punchers with no trouble so people forgot about it. I am sure the same will happen with Cotto.
