Who will replace Floyd?

    Alvarez is done and now Broner. Who will become the new face of boxing when Floyd's gone? I'm from the UK but is this Errol Spence good enough? Discuss.

    Rigo is an amazing fighter. But he is boring and lazy for not learning the language. We need somebody that is exciting and has a personality to bring casuals in.

    I think we could go through a period where a lot of quality fighters make good fights with multiple loses, but no clear "it" guy. Oscar put Floyd over with the casuals. Another reason I never got the Broner Floyd comparisons is that Floyd's villainous side didn't show until the Gatti fight, it was never a staple of young Floyd.

    Thurman may be big at 147/154 but he still has a way to go

    If Mikey Garcia fights and beats Gamboa, he may be on the way to big things.

    Danny Garcia too could keep rising and may be PPV soon.

    Lomachenko if he delivers on his promise.

    I wouldn't give up on Alvarez just yet as he is still very young, has the fanbase and may potentially improve further.

    None of these represent Floyd style wise but they could be the big future p4p, ppv guys.

    Thurman, canelo, garcia and broner will be big draws in the future, but i do not think anyone will get to floyds level.

    This would kinda be ideal I think. In fact I don't see why a Floyd replacement is needed or desirable - I can see the rationale, but would prefer it if a few competitive fighters emerged from several divisions.

    Unless a fighter actually does emerge who is head and shoulders above the rest, the efforts of the broadcasters or promoters to build a 'star' by dint of poor match-making, biased judges and commentary etc. could be more harmful to the sports image amongst casual fans than the lack of a clear crossover star.

    Nobody but who needs it, i mean their will still be top guys with great fights being made. In fact it could be more exciting when the best in the sport are not so dominant. Floyd is a rare talent their won't be many like him ever again. We need not worry boxing will still be very much alive and kicking after Floyd is gone, did anyone really think Broner was ever the next Floyd anyway
