Seemed like a close fight to me. Werdum was closer to getting a sub than Overeem was a KO. How did you score it?
Both losers in my opinion. I thought Werdum actually performed better on their feet, but laying on the mat for 3 rds pissed me and most others off.
Overeem won decisively but in doing so lost some of his prior cache. But it was a case of one man wanting the fight on the mat and the other wanting a standup battle. Neither was really able to force the other into his domain and consequently we got a big clunker of a fight.
Agree, but it also pissed me off that Overeem didn't at least try to drop shot him once or twice. Are soccer kicks not allowed in SF?
No way Werdum deserved to win that fight. Overeem stuffed like 20 weak ass takedowns, and his opponent wasted a good 2 minutes spread eagle on his back until the ref made him get up each time. How could you ever question the outcome of last night's fight?

I don't care how many take downs you stuff if you're not putting out any sort of offense. Werdum won most of the exchanges that occurred while standing. Overeem may have won the 2nd round, but 1 and 3 were Werdum.
werdum should have won it in my opinion had better striking than the "K1 ELITE STRIKER" - Scott Coker, and on top of that if the 3rd round was abit longer fabricio wouldve gotten than ankle/knee bar, plus overeem's gas tank sucks i dont know why people are saying overeem is the no.1 heavyweight. After watching that fight last night i believe cain velasquez and JDS would ****ing destroy overeem
Werdum Werdum out threw and outlanded Overeem. At least werdum was always trying for a take down, to pull guard, throwing punches. All Overeem did was worry about not getting taken down, he didnt throw punches, he did ****ing nothing and was still tired. Overeem cant go five rounds even at a snails pace. I can see that now clear as day.
:thumbsup If Werdum had landed just one takedown toward the end of each round it would've been a sweep.
