I am not saying bet your life savings on him, put a british flag on your car and invite the whole world around.

but good luck to him, if its tight with a few rounds to go i will be really rooting for him!

I'm definitely rooting for him. He isn't Muhammad Ali but Chagaev is hardly Mike Tyson.

It's **** v shitter. I'm just hoping Skelton can make it a mess and win the title. Even if he gets sparked in his next fight I'd like him to pull a kind of Gavin Rees win.

I'd love to see Skelton win this one but I just don't see it happening. I will be rooting for him 100% though!

While I don't normally deal in phrases like 'he's bad for boxing' I feel in Skelton's case it actually applies.

People get up and leave in their hundreds whenever and wherever this guy fights. He's been billed by ITV as a good heavyweight prospect and contributed to some of the most appalling televised boxing matches in the history of the universe. For this reason I would just like to see him fade away quietly and sully the name of boxing no further.

Shame because he seems like an affable chap but boxing is supposed to entertain. He makes watching Jonny Nelson seem positively exhilerating.

yeh i know i made this post but i am changing my mind on whether i Like him or not.

Also he said there are all kinds of options on him if he wins, sounds like he could be in a sticky situatuion if he does a job over there.

Sure, I am. I think he'll lose but I'll certainly be rooting for the guy.

He might be a pretty crude boxer but he's a honest hard-worker and that's a lot more than certain heavyweights could say.

Not the most attractive style to watch at times - Skelton v Sprott last year was more like a wrestling match!

Don't think I could ever not support a british fighter overseas though - just hope he puts on a better performance as he can be dreadful.

I have a hard time saying I'm behind Skelton. Warren knows Skelton's limitations and will make him defend his belt against absolute jokers in front of 300 people until he's forced into a mandatory IF he wins.

    I'm behind him

I'm giving him slightly more of a chance than I was last week actually. I'm feeling optimistic

Sure, he's boring as **** but the guy tries his heart out and it's a credit to him he's got this far coming into the game so late

I think due to the fact he this is a voluntary Skelton would have to fight a rematch with Chagev if he won, and then the winner of Valuev vs Laikovich. By then Skelton would be 42 so i wouldnt be shocked if Warren put him int he biggest money match he could whihc would be a unification, or as bate to sign Haye.
