Povetkin is an old man fading fast so Whyte has nothing to gain from this fight except the obvious payday.
If Povetkin wins it, it doesn't say or do much for the division either.
It might turn out to be an entertaining fight though.

I'd rather see Povetkin take on Ortiz or Pulev with the loser to retire.
Whyte should be facing Joshua or a Parker rematch.

I guarantee this was about 9 months ago and definitely a lot more than 2 max.... in every thread where the discussion came up... and even if you did a polll you would fight whyte as the minority against hunter...do a poll after povetkin fight and you would get diff results

I honestly think you are trying to create a me against everybody else situation in your head. You're a bit like Hayers in that sense where if a small handful say it that means everybody says it. Signs of the times we live in I guess.

Povetkin is old (boxing terms) and past his prime I wouldn’t be suprised if Whyte gets a stoppage, hunter almost stopped him early on but povetkin come on strong but I doubt it tho I think it goes to points

And you and the rest who "say it" always end up with dementia... can't be bothered to dig up the threads and posts... they're all there for anyone who wants to see it.

    Here's a thread https://www.boxingforum24.com/threads/michael-hunter-jr-vs-dillian-whyte.633341/

LETS DO A COUNT ... ALREADY ON FIRST PAGE AND HUNTER IS AHEAD

That's on the general forum they are always pro American fighters, I didn't even read the first message

This forum is where most of us post and are usually quite level headed apart from a certain few, like yourself.

Povetkin can be hurt. He’s shown that plenty in his last few fights. I think he’ll give it a good go for the first few but Whyte will probably land with a wild left hook, and go in for the kill with the ref stopping it. For the money he’s getting at 40 odd though, it’s well worth taking the fight as it’s not out of the realms of possibility he’d actually win.

Now you're just making excuses because I proved you wrong.

Previously I said the forum... and when I say the forum... I mean the entire forum... not my problem which area of the forum is level headed... and which area is planning a mutiny

I just think the majority of people on the British forum tend to post here about 99% of the time. It's isn't this Aydamn against the world. Calm down mate, you're a good lad but you need to just chill a little bit.

Yeah the general forum is a bit silly. I honestly think you’d get more of the heated debates you clearly crave if you posted on there instead of the British forum.

On the forum, most people are a bit more rational and realistic. You’re less likely to find outlandish claims and silly arguments here. The general forum is full of ignorance.

95% of people: Povetkin is old and should retire.
5 %: I think Povetkin still has enough to beat Whyte
Aydamn: wow people writeing Whyte off AGAIN see you after the fight haters.

Another chapter in the underdog story "I & Dill against the world" lol.

I just rewatched Povetkin vs Hunter again for the first time. I originally had it Hunter edging by 2 rounds also thinking a round or two of the rounds i had given Hunter were close rounds.

Rewatching it again, it was clearer win to Hunter than i remeber when I first watched it

    1. 10 - 9
    2. 10 - 9
    3. 9 -10
    4. 9 - 10
    5. 9-10
    6. 10 - 9 close
    7. 10 - 9
    8. 10 -9
    9. 10 - 9
    10. 10- 9 close
    11. 10- 9
    12. 9- 10

116- 112 Hunter. Hunter was really hard done by here with the result.

Really great entertaining fight, it didn't get the credit it deserved at the time.
