He has, Scissors. This could strangely be a blessing in disguise all this mistreatment/inconsistency by the governing bodies. He is not ready to fight Wilder or Joshua imo. He’s on a winning run, but in terms of level of opponents it’s a big step up to AJ or Wilder. Them two are on a different planet to Allen, Lewison, Chisora, Browne etc. I thought Whyte was excellent in his last performance, and he needs to step up to the fringe world level guys like Pulev. 25% in terms of money is poor but the experience he will get from fighting Pulev is invaluable. He’s had barely any amateur experience so these fights are massive learning curves for him.
50-50 fight although Whyte is coming off a big win and will feel confident, especially in UK. I think Ortiz would have been the tougher route, especially early on.
1) can’t believe Eddie or Kalle didn’t win the purse bid. 2) Eddie could end up with egg on his face once again here. Booked the o2 in February for a Whyte - Wilder show down. Now he’s done it again on July 21st for a big Whyte showdown. British Beef II anyone?

Don't think Eddie's managed Whyte's situation that well in my opinion. Especially with the wbc fiasco, and if this fight takes place in Pulev's native country. A close fight on the scorecards will go to Kubret me thinks. I suppose this is the only way he'll know if he got what it takes. Still think Pulev is going to spoil his plans though.
I think he has managed him well. He’s got him to number 1 with WBC and high up with all the other organisations. He keeps falling at the final hurdle though. The WBC are corrupt so can’t really blame him there. this IBF final eliminator is more than reasonable but Eddie really needs to be winning the purse bid.
There is alot of corruption and bungs being paid to certain individuals in some boxing organisations. I suppose it all depends on if the promoter thinks that particular boxer is worth the investment. Don't think Eddie values Whyte that highly myself. If Dillion is robbed in Bulgaria, it's a big set back for him, and he's being paid peanuts.
Pulev is a tough no neck fighter with that snake like jab. Will be boring fight but at some point they will have to trade we hope and then it’s 50/50 but this is a tough tough fight to take and whoever wins deserve a shot at the big one. Being at home I actually fancy Pulev on points.
Hope Whyte pulls it out, Pulev is one of those guys who just isn't needed, belongs in the now defunct klitschko era. His last impressive win (i dont count chisora on one of the nights he couldnt be bothered) was ustinov SIX years ago. He did nothing vs Wlad yet is still seen as a serious threat? Whyte isnt amazing but hes younger, bigger and on a better run of form. I fancy he outworks pulev 8-4 or 7-3
He might be fatter but I don't think he is bigger, not taller and not as strongly built as Pulev. Pulev was pretty lean @245lbs in his prime and still 250-255 now. Whyte is obese @255lbs He is younger but slower and not exactly the fittest bloke. A 100% Pulev should still beat Whyte. Whyte does have a good left hook, might be a bigger puncher with a single shot. Maybe he is tougher too, who knows. He certainly isn't as skillful.
Pulev messed Hearn and AJ about in the past with pulling out which would’ve cost Hearn a bit of money It wouldn’t surprise me if Eddie has said to whyte ‘I’m not getting my fingers burnt again, are you happy to go over and fight pulev?’ I don’t think it’s down to Hearn not having enough cash, maybe they were expecting saurland to win the bidding?
