Deontay Wilder KO'd Malik Scott in 1. Ortiz went to a sloppy, workmanlike decision against the same opponent. Discuss.

Just one fight so I wouldn't go in on Ortiz too much but I always thought Wilder was a bad matchup for him. Wilder can throw bombs from range, can stick and move if need be.

Scott clearly took a dive against Wilder, so very poor comparison.

Not to mention Scott tried quitting early on but the ref wouldn't let him tonight!

Ortiz shut out an opponent that didn't want to engage... Should have been counted out or DQ'd early on. Wilder can get put on ***** street by a school teacher, have his faced busted up by a French cement mixer and his fanboys will still find a way to praise him without pointing out any flaws in his game.

I'd favour Wilder to win a decision. Wilder has shown twice now against Stiverne and Arreola he's happy to fight a stick and move based strategy when up against dangerous punchers. Ortiz couldn't get to Scott in a small ring, I think he'd struggle to find Wilder in a full sized ring.

Wilder would beat him to the punch and then be away before Ortiz could counter. We saw how Ortiz lacks the style to be an effective pressure fighter, he sits back pawing with his jab looking to counter even when he has his opponents on the ropes, he couldn't amount enough pressure to break Wilder down, though of course he has a punchers chance.

The Scott v Wilder fight was a farce, he looked for a way out early doors and got what he wanted.

Against Ortiz, he basically just ran around the ring often looking petrified... also looking for a way out early except the referee didn't allow it, even when he was down for 14 seconds!

This. It's very difficult to land on a guy in full retreat mode. When Pac knocked down Mosley Pac couldn't land anymore because Mosley went into survival mode.

Well get on twitter and tell Wilder to fight him then, might be more entertaining than Molina, Szpilka and the rest of the rubbish he fights.
