PADIDAS Yarde has now fought an orthodox fighter, a Fing southpaw wow, a dwarf, a middleweight, a non boxer, a man, a white collar boxer..... so all that’s left is woman, a similar weight person, an actual fighter, a top ten relevant fighter!

Can’t wait!! 2am I’m gonna be glued to that screen!!

Lack of buzz totally due to BT not being able to do a Sky Sports on anything they touch ie look at Champions League figures since they got it.

I don't think undercards matter if the main event is good.
In my opinion the main event is very good, definitely the most interesting heavyweight fight since AJ-Wlad, but others seem to be insisting otherwise. As if this isn't a very good interesting fight.
    Each to their own.

When you look at the ticket prices it has to be a very good undercard.

Who is staying up until 4-5am over here and struggling through that pile of turd? I don't think many will.

I won't be watching it live, I'll watch it the next day, catch the KO on twitter in the morning, and I paid and watch Bellew Vs Cleverly II, that how highly I rate this event.

Seen more hype for Whyte v Chirosa 2 such is the strength of the sky PR machine. Fine tuned animal now. BT smart in using social media but its not quite the same.

Yeah it's weird. I thought people would be excited to see Wilder v Fury but instead ticket prices and ppv numbers are more important. The undercard isn't fantastic but there's been much much worse.

Sky will give Wilder v Fury very little coverage if at all. Why would you create a buzz for a fight that’s on a rival platform, they want this to fail for a couple of reasons. The other reason is that it weakens the victors say in future negotiations with AJ. Hearn will be quoting the ppv sales from this fight to reinforce his opinion that Fury/Wilder bring little to the table in £££ and are only deserving of 30/70 split.

The fights in the wrong venue - it really should have been in the Barclays Centre or MSG. Wilder - Ortiz did about 13k at BC and this fight would easily beat that. It’s been many years since I’ve been to LA and I have never been to the Staples Centre but I’m pretty sure it’s in downtown LA. Seems a crazy choice to stage it there IMO.

Fight should have been in the UK. More money in it for both of them and would help Wilders profile massively and boosted his bargaining power in an AJ deal.

Can you imagine if the fight was in the UK in front of 80k on sky sports and wilder disposes of fury devastating fashion.

The AJ fight would have been forced to be made, the demand for it impossible to turn away.

He knocks out fury in the U.S and it doesn't create half as much noise.

That said, I hope to god fury wins.

I'm not buying a ticket. I have no interest in ticket prices.
    I'm not travelling to L.A.

Boxing fans who follow the relevant heavyweight boxing matches will.
There's actually no need to stay up all night to be awake at 4am anyway, so I'm guessing some will catch some sleep beforehand. Hey, if there's only a few of us, so be it.

Fury and Wilder. Two of the biggest heavyweight names of this current era, both still undefeated. The man who dethroned Klitschko coming back to challenge a very dangerous puncher and WBC title holder. To real fans of heavyweight boxing it needs absolute no selling. They won't miss it.

Exactly. I never usually buy the ppv stuff but I'll be getting this one even if it is $35 down here in NZ. It's a massive fight and the biggest since AJ v Klitschko no matter what the doubters tell you about ticket sales etc.

Did you see how many fans the like of Hatton dragged over to the US? even the likes of Frank Bruno? and if AJ goes to the US for a big fight they will travel again.

UK fight fans are the best in the world, the most loyal, they give the best support and they travel all over the world to prove it. They are not travelling for this one, so what does that tell you?

So ticket prices do matter if the fans over here really support and want to see a fight.. but they don't care.

"Night fights" over here in the UK never normally do good numbers, especially PPV fights, that's just accepted and if you look at Fury fights they never do that well anyway.

So it's not a big risk or a blind guess when estimating what is going to happen.

So if you fairly and sensibly think about it and estimate based on sales so far, what's happening now and what's happened before then there will not be many staying up or getting up to watch it.

Fury himself has been slaughtering Wilder, the sales and is obviously concerned with PPV projections this very week, Fury knows what's happening, they talk behind the scenes and if his purse is linked to PPV sales Im not surprised he isn't happy.

I agree, boxing fans who follow boxing, hardcore fans if you like will be most likely to watch his fight, well.. there goes your 1 million PPV buys because it's the casual fans that bring numbers.

On another thread I had somebody say they believe drunk MMA fans, McGregor fans actually will bump the numbers, I'm assuming because they are Irish.

That's how desperate some people are getting, they are hoping that MMA fans buy an event that was suppose to be "the biggest fight out there.."

UK Boxing fans have been conditioned by boxing promoters to think speak and act like boxing promoters for a while now. It is what it is
