Wilder v Hughie Fury

Seen on peter fury twitter last night they have offered him the fight with a month notice. Think he will take it? Would you give him any chance?

 

Of course he wont take it.

Would be suicide at this stage of his career, Hughie does not have the power to keep off Wilder and would get stopped very early.

 

As rubbish as I think Wilder is, this would be a suicidal move. Just no need for them to consider it and quite frankly they won't.

 

Says more about Wilder than anything else...

Why not take it. Hughie might not get another chance against such a weak world champion as well. Nothing to lose either. Unless you think it's better protecting the 0

 

They will be planning a big money making revenge/grudge match with Tyson after if Hughie fails.

Peter's always stating he doesn't mind Hughie having losses on his record so in reality what is there to lose? Only 20 so still got 10+ years of experience and rebuilding afterwards.

Just checked Wilder is scheduled to fight on the 26th September so its closer to 2 months prep if its the same planned date.

He wouldn't be ready to defend the belt if he manged to win it and would have a huge target on his back.

 

If he gets knocked out brutally in one round at such a young age his career may never recover.

 

I'd stick him in. Hughie is a great boxer, but then again look what happened to Malik Scott

 

Whilst I agree that having a loss on his record isn't a big deal, it's the manner in which he would probably lose that is worth worrying about. Absolutely no need for him to get KO'd 2 rounds in this early on in his career.

Hughie has bags of potential and will definitely get a shot at a world title, absolutely no rush.

As someone has said above, this somes up Wilder and his camp more than anything.

Complete joke to only offer 4 weeks notice, obviously not a full camp is it.

 

Hughie should definitely take it. It is a win win situation. The money, experience and exposure he would get would be great. He is only 20 years old. He hasn't fought anyone good yet so it would not be difficult to get back to were he is now if he loses. And if he wins he is world champion.

 

It is really not a win win situation, do you think Hughie is going to benefit from getting sparked out inside one round??????????
