Johnson was very quick and a technical boxing genius. Smith was at ringside and worked both camps. So an insider and an eyewitness. You are a nothing living over 100 years later and you believe you know better? Excuse me while a laugh at you.
Ok, imagine what Wilder would do with those 3-4 oz horsehair gloves? He wears 10 oz gloves made of synthetic leather and he KOs fighters that are bigger than him. Even a glancing blow from Wilder (4 oz or 10 oz) would be enough to hurt Johnson.
Not as quick as Wilder. Or Fury for that matter. Look what happened there. Oh and Fury outboxes Wilder I have eyes. I can use them. I have and I have made my mind. So to answer your pointless question, yes. I do. Excuse us all and log off.
The issue for Wilder is he would be facing a much higher skilled fighter who would also be able to stop his opponent with one punch at any given time. Understand Wilder is a nothing. He has not proven in any way that he ranks anywhere close to the ATG hwt champions. Having a right hand punch does not make any fighter a great fighter. It takes much more The art and science of boxing.
Johnson can stop Wilder? Wilder can definitely stop Johnson. Not so much the other way around. He's litterally about to make his tenth title defence in 2 months. To call him a nothing is laughable. Just like you. I agree. Although he is clearly more consistent than someone like Dempsey or Johnson. Again I agree. But that's not the question. The question is does Wilder beat him? And his right hand is exactly what would do it. Johnson would have no considerable strength advance, no size, power or speed advantage. Wilder would find home with his huge right hand at some point over 12 or 15 and KTFO Johnson Oh and your not above anyone, use the reply button.
Johnson with 3-4 oz gloves could KO Wilder easily. It’s Wilder not Johnson who would not be used to being hit with such gloves. A one trick pony is not beating prime Jack Johnson. Johnson was renowned for his defensive prowess. Wilder only for right hand power. Grow up and learn boxing history. It’s like having a discussion with a child.
Oh and by the way Wilder is not hwt champion of the world. His paper title is just about but not quite as worthless as you. Jack Johnson of course was hwt champion of the world from 1908 to 1915 and universally considered the greatest defensive fighter ever to hold that title.
Joe Frazier KOs Johnson. 1. Who said that was the ruleset? 2. Wilder in 3oz Horse Hair glove would murder Johnson I know boxing's past. I also know boxing's present. Wilder KTFOs Johnson Lomachenko is far more skilled than Marciano Usyk beats Marciano. 1. I'm 15, so you kind of are 2. Your the petty ******* who refuses to use the basic functions of the website and litterally says there more qualified to compare boxers than someone else. 3. Why the insults? Coz you have no actual argument? Yeah. That's it. Oh and learn boxing history, it's like having a discussion with an ego maniac
Technically he is, he has a world recognised title that says so. So **** off with "worthless" insults you goon. Jack Johnson is a better Defensive digger than Ali, Walcott or Ezzard Charles? News to me.
Smith said the KD was faked in a1970 taped interview with Pete Heller for his book," In This Corner".Highly recommended. The agreement was between Willus Britt ,Ketchel's manager and Johnson ,to let Ketchel last some rounds this increased the value of the movie rights of which Johnson had a percentage.Johnson told his family and friends, bet I will stop Ketchel before 15 rds . Ketchel was not in on it.Johnson carried him, hauling him upright and steadying him twice when he had unintentionally hit him too hard.
You don’t know the sport. Study up. Wilder is not hwt champion of the world. He holds a paper title ala Tate, Weaver, Witherspoon, Smith, Thomas, etc. Johnson’s defensive skills were spoken at great lengths during his time up until the present day. A wonderful technical fighter. Greatest at blocking, feinting and had a wonderful left jab. The know nothing knows nothing.
I'd favor every single fighter on that list, but there's a reason we have the cliche "puncher's chance" and if he actually fought all of them I'd expect him to beat 3 minimum, six tops. I just wouldn't favor him over any given individual.
If you watch the fight there is a point at which Johnson, very, very obviously drags Ketchel to his feet and holds him up when he's about to go down, but it's equally obvious that Ketchel is trying his best the whole time. If there was an agreement, I seriously doubt Ketchel was in on it.
