Not really. He did nothing for six rounds, then when he put it on him Billy was clueless.

Billy isn't great at dealing with pressure. Had CEJ had a better game plan he would have won.

Resumes don't win a fights, Yildirim has huge tools that make him a difficult prospect for anyone.

Yildirim has a combination of size, strength and stamina that is unmatched @168. His boxing skills are not bad either, Jr will not beat Yildirim on the front foot.

Groves is much closer to Jr in size, he has great boxing skills but they are speed based and they also decrease over the course of 12 rounds. Groves matches up with Jr much easier. Jr has the blue print for Groves not so much Yildirim.

Eubank not doing anything (till the second half of the fight) was because he couldn't deal with a fighter levels above him for movement and distance. This is just my opinion but he's since been thrown in with fighters who either wanted to stand and trade or had awful movement. Fighters with excellent movement don't make Eubank look very good and his 'team' know it. He was getting frustrated with BJS because he wanted to trade, because he's the bigger, stronger fighter and he likes showing that. He was egging BJS on to fight, and when Eubank did try and throw a shot, BJS moved and countered.

Yes, Eubank came back into it and credit to him, but that was a combination of his brilliant athleticism and BJS blowing out of his backside.

I don't agree with all that, but I respect your opinion all the same. Really looking forward to the next few weeks.

Yes really. Eubank did not beat an unfit Saunders, he did not draw with an unfit Saunders, he lost to an unfit Saunders.

Billy is in great shape ahead of this fight. Ingle has worked wonders with him.

Looks in great shape. Anyone else think he could be caught between styles in this fight tho. Dont think monroes a great opponent to try out a new style on imo. He fights a little bit like an ingle fighter himself. And hes been doing it a lot longer than billy joe. Interesting fight. Think a jimmy tibbs trained bjs would beat monroe comfortably. This could be trickier than first thought tho. Jimmy usually always has his guys fast and sharp.

If its not working for bjs he,ll try and revert back...the problem is will the new muscled physique let him still be effective. The ingle styles all built on reflexes. Making guys fall just short and coming back with something etc. The thing is willie not the easiest to counter. Much better sticking it on him.

I don't think Ingle is going to change anything about BJS mate. He's pretty much said it himself. He's there to get him fit, eating properly, self disciplined etc. He might tweak him here or there but skills wise, he's got the lot.

Ah. Was under the impression it was gonna be a bjs version 2.0 cause ingle fighters tend to fight the same way. Bit of a shame billy never went earlier cause his style would have been a half decent fit for it. Although jimmy tibbs was good for bjs as well.

Actually watching skoglund the now mate. Know your a fan of smith. Tidy boxer by the looks of it...but smiths height/reach advantage should negate it. Doesnt have power. Can scrap it out a bit when needed tho. Stylewise a pretty good opponent for smith...first time i ve really seen skoglund tho.

Judging by the looks of BJS, Ingle has done a great job with him. It's the best condition he's looked in a longtime. BJS looks to have got under Monroe's skin big time.

I've not seen much of Skoglund mate, I know @CutThroatFade rates him. Smith has to make a statement and this is undoubtedly his toughest opponent yet. He looks a big lad and Kessler speaks very highly of him.

    Wrong.

BJS is a 6 round fighter, his stamina and endurance are among the worst of top level fighters today.

When BJS done his inevitable gas (same as he did in the Lee fight) that's when Eubank started winning rounds, not because "Billy" was clueless.

BJS is a level above Eubank in terms of boxing ability.

BJS just needs someone to motivate him, he's got all the talent in the world.

I totally agree mate. Hopefully now he's finally taking it seriously. He's one of the UK's best pound for pound fighters imo but he's not fulfilled anywhere near his potential.
