Why do people hate on Winky? He schooled at least 2 surefire HOFamers in their prime and yet he's not HOF material? The only person he's lost to this decade was Bernard Hopkins, and that was at a catchweight at 10lbs higher than his normal weightclass. Up until then he was the #2 P4P fighter in the world for a very long time. Would people give Floyd this much crap about purse pct and being "shot" if he came back after a year and a half of inactivity? All I know is that if he ends up fighting Paul Williams in April, I'm definitely not betting against him.

Good post. I agree with everything. I think he deserves to make the HOF definitely. He is all wrong for Williams, he will win that fight.

    I think you mean wouldn't...

    if so...

    True! :thumbsup

Moseley was 3-2-1 in his last 6 fights coming in and Trinidad was shot. He didn't impress against Sam Soliman either.
When he fought as WBO champ he was anything but impressive in losing to never-gonna-be Harry Simon.

Fact is than defensive minded boxers do well when they are older and thus fight former destroyers like Trinidad when they are old and shot, making their legacy seem better than it is.

considering some of the recent inductees he sure is.

the HOF is becoming a joke anyone who had a decent career gets in nowadays, instead of just inducting the trully great fighters it seems now all you need is being a titlist and make a couple of defenses and youre in.
