    Good matchup

The Witherspoon who gave Holmes hell, vs early 70s Jerry Quarry

My pick is Witherspoon by close decision

I’ll say Witherspoon narrowly & with some trepidation, too.

My gut says Witherspoon. He was more technical, had more tools, bigger and more of a tank when it comes to physicality, taking and giving a punch. I think he would not be disturbed by Quarry's punches. Spoon could roll and catch them, and fire back big shots that would wear Jerry down--including a big number of overhand rights off of the roll. I think he would be able to stop Jerry late.

Witherspoon. Too big, too slick, too good.
