Wlad ran his mouth a lot about Haye being number 50, he was going for the ko, etc...I know, Wlad won, but that was a very safety first fight on his part...Just curious why he's not taking much flack for it... Don't get me wrong, I think Wlad fought very well but, as much as I think he's a dick, Haye was impressive in some ways too against this Giant...He spit in the lions eye, roughed it up a little and still lived to tell about it... I guess what I'm trying to say, it's a little like Babe Ruth calling his shot and then bunting...I'm just curious why Haye is taking all of the flack and Wlad none...
Because it's less embarrassing to talk a bit of ****, not back it up, but win a wide UD, than talk enormous amounts of ****, not back it up, and lose via a wide UD, quite meekly.
Jesus it's not as if Wlad was ranting on for months on end about his 50th KO. He mentioned it a few times. So he didnt KO him, but gave him a schooling...what a ****ing failureatsch David Haye disgraced himself with his "trash" talk. It wasnt funny and it wasnt clever, but it was sustained and went on for ****ing months. Perspective.
yeah im sure wlad only mentioned it a couple of times, i dont remember him going over the top about it. Haye on the other hand in my opinion is getting so much stick from people because he had to talk his way into this fight after only 3 HW bouts. i think from then on the majority of his "trash talk" was to firstly try and intimidate and frustrate Wlad (which i genuinly think he did) and secondly it was to hype up the fight get higher viewing figures and consiquently give him a bigger pay check.
because Wlad won. A team can win the Stanley Cup by only scoring 4 goals in the finals. Hell, Vancouver could have done it with 7. He won...he continues to win...and he will probably retire winning. Whether it's by KO or UD or even MD / SD, it's irrelevant. A win is a win.
I only saw the 50 once or twice, and the pizza face thing was from their mooted 1st fight. Found him laregely to be very respectful

He gave Haye a schooling on the cards, but he was made to look poor and uncoordinated in there. Both guys looked terrible, Haye fought like a coward, Wlad just threw punches at the air for 12 rounds. History wont be kind to either boxer in this one. Give it 10 years, people will forget all the smack Haye talked and remember how each guy gave a truly poor performance.
i agree 100 %, i had bets on wlad ko between rnds 6 and 9.i was surprised that haye stood up to some good shots from wk and was more active than i thought and at the end i gave him a lot of credit till he got his toe out. i was very surprised about the flak haye got
