After the second knockdown I was surprised as hell how strong his legs were when he got up, I thought he was completely gone.
Joshua showed a better chin no contest, ate some nice right hands and obviously got up from a monster one wlad was hurt by every solid punch joshua landed, also again in a panic mode when the opponent is pressuring him and throwing punches, no counter punching whatsoever
He just can't handle pressure. He totally collapses. Against Peter, Joshua and so on, he wasn't knocked out cold, it's just his body seems to collapse when pressure is put on him. Very different from his brother. Wlad technically a better boxer than his brother, but not a better fighter.
Hell, I was shocked how fast and completely Wlad recoverd from the first left hook kd.. that shot alone ends any weak chin fighters night. Wlads never been ko'd, he's taken some of the biggest and cleanest shots I've ever seen. Most have to do with him fighting almost 70x. His heart and will made him absolute granite tonight and it took Aj everything to get the stoppage. Didn't need it but he's a champion, a ferocious champ that fought a very tippity top Wlad tonight that wanted nothing more than to win. Wlad took shots tonite that I didn't think that he could take. The shots that put him down put anybody down. He finished on his feet. Give the guy the credit he deserves
I don't think it's complete glass like Khans, but it worse than average. His heart makes up for a lot of it though, he had no rights to still be standing after that uppercut. But I think his sheer obsession with regaining the belt kept him upright somehow. He was never going to lay down, he was going to have to be saved by the ref because I think you would of had to kill him to keep him down tonight. I never thought I'd say it about Wlad, but what a warrior.
Awesome performance tonight by both guys, but ya, 100 % absolutely, positively does Wlad have a glass jaw. Besides the Fury loss, he's gotten his dick punched loose in every other loss he has had. And made Sam Peter look like a bar tender the way Peter had Wlad staggering and falling all over the place. Vicious glass jaw. Very skilled fighter, *****-made chin. Yeah, was one devastating looking shot, and he took it well under the circumstances. Reminded me of how Vitali took that uppercut from Lewis, or how Ibeabuchi took that uppercut from Tua.
All doubts over his alleged glass chin disappeared in the 5th round when he got KD'd, got up, cleared his head straight away and then took it to AJ big time.
