    If you want to be objective, then why don't you start with Brewster fight. He wasn't there just to collect a paycheck, he was bamboozled again and even worse than the first time. His eye was fine.
    He didn't have a clue as to how to get inside. Also, Lamon realized he was about to get knocked out , so he quit.
    You are constantly making excuses for Wlad's victories.

    exactly. that's what happens when a guy 6-7 with a ramrod jab gives his opponents constant movement. the chin isnt a factor if u can't reach it. peter's style in the first fight is the only style that can trouble today's wlad. chin, power, constant aggression. the three keys to getting to that paper mache chin

    Brewster said after the fight " I can make excuses like he did after the first time we fought, but I wont, I just hope we could do this again since we both have a win over each other". Take it whatever you want it, but anyone that seen that fight, knows Brewster wasnt in no shape to take that fight. Buddy even said on another boxing site, that Brewster wasnt ready for Wlad after 15 months of inactivity, but the money and the title shot was there, so we took it.

    I appreciate your use of clinches instead of holds. Is 90 a lot? Yes, it is. But they were all quick and tactical mixed in with about 70 punches or so a round. Wlad was never hurt in that fight. Disoriented? Probably. Tired? Yes.

    In all honesty, both men were hurt, the only difference is Peter didnt go down, Wlad did. In the end Wlad did win competitve, tough fight, I just hope both men could get together and give us another great fight like they did in 05.:good

    :good I hope Wlad will fight Peter after he wins the WBO Belt and Peter WBC.

    This will be a great unification fight at the end of 2008 for the IBF/IBO/WBO/WBC and Ring Belt. Great fight for boxing fans.

    Wlad will win this fight with his great left hook by TKO in the later rounds.

    Peter knocking Wlad out can´t be ruled out, but I think it´s rather unlikely.

    Wlad has shown he can outbox Peter handily and showed he can hurt him as well. Peter may also have lost some confidence with the McCline fight. I think their next upcoming fights will be telling and give further insight into how the rematch might go.

    Unfortunately, that is an unlikely scenario. Wlad will have Thompson as the WBO mandatory and Povetkin/Chambers winner as IBF mandatory.

    Maybe, if Wlad wins, he can dump one belt, fight the Maskaev/Peter winner and then try to make a fight with whoever has the belt he dumped or with the WBA champ.

    He can dump the WBO belt anytime he wants as far as I'm concerned. I want IBF/WBA/WBC unification at heavyweight.

    Punisher, please reply.Or is it OK for Brew to quit on his stool when it wasn't OK for Vitali with an obvious torn rotator?

    I have a lot of respect for any one who steps into the ring. Brewster had no chance in the second fight with Wlad and was getting hammered over and over. The chance for serious injury was there and he quit. Maybe many more heavyweights should have done the same thing rather than battling for our amusement and then suffering from dementia in their later years. Jerry Quarry won a lot of respect but how did it end for him? Brewster reminds me of Quarry style wise actually.

    As for Wlad....just watch him. He IS a special talent. If people can't see that they are blinded by hatred. Anything can happen with the big boys but the smart money is on Wlad against the strong but limited Peter.
