I agree to you, but why didnt he make a rematch straight away, after loosing to Purrity. Sanders was only looking for a big money fight, so a rematch could have been made easily. Dont get me wrong. I like Wladimir. I watch all his fights and i am no blind hater. But now its too little to late to avenge these loses.
there have been guys to get in that have not accomplished near what Wlad has. He wins another belt and he gets in for sure.

There is more to being good, Hofamer, great, or any adjective you want to use for a fighter than avenging losses.
If he unifies then yes, he beat alomost everyone that the d has to offer. But his big brother might mess up alot of more potential fights. Also if Marciano is in I have no problem with Wlad. Not saying Rocky wasn't great, but he was also in a bad era which isn't his fault
Many thanks. Bottom line is most champions go through the "he wouldn't of lasted ten minutes with (add last era's champ here)." then they retire, and people kind of get nostalgic for them, and they are conversely remembered as better than they were. Wlad will be a top 15 guy, no doubt.
ATG? Not yet. But HOF? Probably yes. Think about it - there are a bunch of HOF inductees every year. Are there a bunch of potential ATGs emerging every year? Of course not. So what happens is that each year the HOF goes back a over the last few years and inducts fighters who are "merely" very good. It's MUCH easier to be a HOF-er than an ATG. Just ask Gatti.
But there weren't multiple belts to unify then! If there were more belts, these guys probably would have done it.
If he can win a couple more big matches and pick up another title along the way, I think he is hall of fame worthy. The next couple years will tell you everything you need to know about Wlad and his legacy.
