Wlad's first fight in American Soil was in 1998. PBF at that point had only fought 12 professional fights.

Wlad has fought in Vagas 5 times, Atlantic City twice and three times at MSG, I'm not even counting the lesser venues...that's more then some people's CAREERS!

More exposure? He's the #1 Heavyweight in the world, HBO's televised his fights for years (since 2000?). How much more ****ing exposure does he need?

 

agreed. PBF is an amazing talent but i wish he would fight more elite guys at 147 like cotto, margo, PW, even guys like shane mosley. Hopefully he'll fight Pac if he decides to make a comeback

his last five fights were an over the hill gatti, baldomir (who?), zab (b level), DLH, and Hatton. Gayrunner did NOT fight the best dude.

 

Wlad is a class act out of the ring so is his brother however he doesn't get rated by people because he is incredibly boring to watch.

Not really the way you perceive it. It is more loosely akin to golf/hockey/tennis etc. If zero athletes of color play golf it is nearly impossible to believe that the best golfer in the land is the best possible golfer. American athletes (college/pro) completely accept the premise that the best of the best are playing pro football, basketball, and baseball. US boxing has lost the best athletes and even the second best athletes. It is not a "weak theory" in America. It is the "truth". Want to see the best collection of athletes on the PLANET over 6'5" and over 250 lbs who would provide the inarguable threat to the Klitschkos? Walk into an NFL training camp or locker room. Want to see the men who derisively mock the fighting spirit and heart of the Klitschkos go there. I went to USC and the football players I was friends with first, hated watching little boxers (thought it was like watching women slap) and second, imagined/believed themselves capable of giving prime LL and Tyson the fight of their lives (unlike the Ruiz', the Golatas, and Klitschkos of the world who were/are considered jokes).

Until there is an resurgence in interest in being a US boxer that will not change. How could it? If you know you are an elite athlete (fast, huge, skilled, successful) you certainly don't watch them and have any fear in any sense. You can think talk is cheap. But that doesn't change the fact that there are hundreds/thousands of large size athletes in the best pro and even college programs that believe that, if not for their career choice, they could get trained for a few months and provide a much more significant threat then the bums parading as heavyweights in this decade.

The way it looks I doubt anyone will enter or have entered the sport that can get to the top quickly enough to get matched with either Klitschko before their career is at an end (many, many US athletes are making millions to ride the pine in the pros .. not surprisingly pro boxing isn't going to be high on their agendas). The Klitschko "greatness" you believe in will always seem/be unproven due to this. They are more honestly looked at as the biggest men with decent skills in a group of rather ordinary or unskilled (sort of) big men. [Just look at size for example. Where are the great US big men over 6'5"? Tony Thompson? Ray Austin? LOL. If the best from the US were in pro boxing you'd have a dozen guys that would be athletic and not all that far from being Valuev size.]
