I hate to detract from what looks like a good drubbing of ManMachine, but are you seriously saying Povetkin and Byrd are on a level with Vitali? Ignoring all other factors, such as dominance in wins and losses, argument for being the dominant fighter of their era etc, and going sheer collection of wins you'd need to basically combine both of their resumes to equal Vitali's resume (of course, that's taking Byrd's win over Vitali with the grain of salt it deserves). Being equally generous to each fighter, Byrd had about 4 top 10 wins and 4 top 20ish wins, and a top 20ish tie. Povetkin had about 4 top 10 wins and 8 top 20ish wins. Vitali had about 9 top ten wins and 9 top 20ish wins. I'll never understand this groundless forum poster conventional wisdom that holds Vitali has a weak resume. Except, it's clear he could have had a much stronger resume, and people hold that against him.
Wlad Fanatics need a way to get around the fact that Wlad and Vitali never fought. The idea that other of Wlad's opponents presented the same level of challenge is ingrained revisionism, for that cause. This warped perspective also serves to further align Wlad with Lewis.
