Good move from Wood. He can either rematch Warrington or fight Cordina. His next fight has to be at the City Ground as it's in his contract apparently.

Kholmatov vs Ray Ford has been ordered for the vacant title. Will land on a Matchroom show, potentially the Prograis vs Haney card.

Wood v Warrington 2 has the same feeling as an unwanted pile.

He'd get rinsed by Cordina, no shame in that but I'm not sure he'd want to march into the City Ground to look second best all night.

Warrington rematch probably the biggest money fight. Imo Cordina stops him. Would Cordina want to b the away fighter and not have a big fight in his home town as champion.

On October 28 on DAZN in Mexico O'Shaquie Foster defends his IBF Super-Featherweight World Title against Rocky Hernandez. Cordina could unify against the winner outdoors at Cardiff Castle. That would also be good business for Matchroom as they would get 2 fights outdoors.

The Warrington rematch would sell well. Warrington was dominating up until the stoppage and there's an argument that the referee shouldn't have stopped the fight and let Warrington go back to his corner as it was the end of the round.

Yeah Cordina been very vocal saying he wants unifications and can't see why he would want the the wood fight apart from a big pay day.

Totally agree with your warrington comments

Going by comments Hearn has made, Cordina wants unifications but the market doesn't want to pay for them - particularly if the other side want well paid to come here as it's high risk. May well be that he takes a cut to unify and misses out on some good British domestic money.

If Wood-Warrington 2 doesn't happen, no doubt Warrington will petition for yet another go at a world title despite a rotten recent record. Tickets mean titles.
