Billy Collins was an undefeated Top Rank prospect. He fought Luis Resto on the undercard of the Roberto Duran-Davey Moore fight. The NYSAC was a disgrace that night, since the wretched ref job in Duran-Moore pales in comparison to the neglience of the inspectors of the NYSAC.

Scumbag Panama Lewis removed some of the padding from Resto's gloves. There's been stories that drug dealers in New York put a lot of $$ on the underdog Resto, so they instructed Panama to do something to ensure victory.

Collins was beaten brutally and his career was over due to damage to his eyes. He got depressed & drunk and drove his car into a ditch. It might've been suicide.

Panama and Resto each did a couple years in jail, and are banned from the sport, but Panama still trains fighters.
