    Too Many.

    Just stick to the WBC,WBA and IBF titles everything else is a mickey mouse strap IMO

    Yep, along with the WBO. Those 4 are the only ones to take notice off.

    That's a good rule of thumb, but the champion makes the belt, not the other way around.

    There are loads but the main ones are the WBA, WBC and IBF.

    There are no world governing bodies. There are three main sanctioning bodies, WBC, WBA & IBF.

    Just for fun, here are the ones I know of:

    The big four (in no particular order): WBA, WBC, WBO, IBF
    The next two (far, far away from the top 4): IBO, IBA
    The rest: IBB, IBC, IBL, IBU, GBA, GBC, GBF, GBO, NBA, UBA, UBC, UBF, WAA, WBB, WBB (II), WBE, WBF, WBF (II), WBI, WBL, WBN, and WBU


    Ridiculous...
