    Alex Arthur against mike Gomez

Brutal hammering via left hook, arthur got a real pasting that night

  3. John murray is as gutsy as they come but it was obvious despite putting up a decent performance and tagging rios regulary he didnt have the power to even put a dent in him whereas rios was thumping johns face into a mush of blood and skin.

Joe gallagher as a boxing man has to take responsibility for a beating that john hasnt come back from yet

Oh yeah Wach Wlad also comes to mind. I still don't know how he managed to keep stood up for the entire fight. Those weren't arm punches. Wach got hit regularly every round with full on straight rights Wlad's money shot the whole fight.

True but it wasn't a prolonged beating, which are far more damaging in the long term, I don't think Tyson/Bruno II was as damaging as say Mason's loss to Lewis.

Morrison getting sparked out against mercer was fairly brutal as well not long sustained punishment but still a bad beating...

Scott Harrison on that Spanish guy in the brothel who jumped the queue. Don't ask me what I was doing there.

Of the past 12 months. surely Froch's mauling of Bute has got to be up there? Bute looked like he'd been gang-raped afterwards.

Of all time, George Foreman KO'ing (after knocking him down six times) Joe Frazier in 2 rounds is one of the worst beatings I've ever seen. Sonny Liston when he completely demolished Floyd Patterson too (TWICE).

That was brutal. Briggs went to hospital after it. I think he had a ruptured bicep, broken orbital and nose! :nono

He actually went into a coma I believe. **** me Briggs' corner, why on Earth did they not pull him out? He could have seriously died. Never should they be allowed to handle a fighter ever again.

Yep and Dan Rafael said in his column the week after that he wished it would of went 15 rounds, that's not a lie either.

How Joe Gallagher sleeps at night after the Murray Rios fight is mystery. The man has no conscience.

Same way I wish Walmart would run out of twinkies and chocolate cake. That to Dan is the equivalent feeling of what Shannon felt when he was getting literally beaten half to death.
