Only time Cotto got credit for landing is when the replay showed him landing, and even then at times they denied he landed. Floyd won by a few rounds but was much closer than the judges/commentators had it, just shows Cotto was never going to win without a KO

Only just finished watching a recording of last night, could not agree more with this thread. Someone needs to tell those commentators that you don't get points just for making your opponent miss and general swagger.

It was a lot closer than they were saying throughout.

No more to be said, this sums it up. Sickening bias...

They were scoring rounds to Mayweather on the basis of being Mayweather, even if he didn't do any real work in a round.

I like Mayweather as a fighter, but was appalled at the commentary last night.

I've really never heard such biased commentary in what actually turned out to be a fairly even fight.

It's clear to me that The Colonel doesn't want to upset Goldenboy/The Money Team!:verysad

I always thought Mayweather would win and was surprised it was so close (I had Maweather by 2), however the commentary last night was like Floys was their own Jim Jones.

There where plenty of rounds where Floyd was hitting Cotto predominately on the gloves for the whole round and it was never mentioned. Neither was his constant trapping of Cotto's arm on the blind side and the blatant forearms in the face.

They would be going ballistic if that sort of thing was being handed to Mayweather (thank **** we did not get their commentary for the Hatton fight).

I feel bad for complaining about Jim Watt now. People might not have liked Fearon but i'll give him this he was knowledgable and not bias.

I noticed this too, the thing that annoyed me most was that when Cotto blocked Mayweathers shots it was overlooked but when Floyd blocked Cotto's shots all the praise of the day was heaped apon him.

Some of the rounds were close but the commentator just gave them to Floyd without a moments hesitation, he was right up Floyds arse!!

Taking nothing away from Floyd he won fair and square.

Yeah I'm another who had to turn it off midway through it was so bad. It was barely commentary, just a 45 minute rant about how wonderful Floyd was.
I think at the end of one round something was said along the lines of Cotto can't lay a glove on Floyd as the camera panned into the Mayweather corner and there was blood fro his nose.
It was so bad it actually ruined the fight for me. For these big fights can they not sent their own comms over?
