Worst commentary ever!

What I found strange about it was that in all the undercard fights Bob was doing his best to try to level out any arguments, saying how both fighters were effective at different times etc. Then as soon as the first bell went for Floyd/Cotto, he completely ignored Cotto and started his Mayweather love in. I actually agreed with a lot of what he was saying but the way he said it and just outright dismissed any of Cotto's efforts was poor.

 

ruined the fight for me.

 

It was very poor,they hardly gave Cotto`s work a mention.I think it was the most biased commentry Ive heard.

 

I'm glad someone started a thread on this, it's certainly put me off watching the fight again unless it's on mute. There were times where Cotto was bopping Floyd in the nose with left jabs, and bob was all "he can't land clean on Floyd".

I felt like shouting "HE JUST DID YOU IDIOT"

Floyd won the fight no doubt about it, but like everyone said they gave Cotto no credit. I feel like writing to Boxnation asking if we can get HBO's feed instead.

 

I turned the commentary off pretty early on as I'm easily swayed. I'd be an easy mark for a Sith Lord.

Thought it was a good, competitive fight that Floyd won clearly but by no means easily.

 

I never really understand complaints about biased commentary, but yesterday was the most biased one-sided commentary I've ever heard in a sporting event. It was ridiculous and that's from someone who normally never complains about this kind of ****.

 

To be honest I don't really remember much of the commentary as I was that ****ing pissed, I do remember Bob wittering on about Mayweathers leather shorts though.

He is terrible usually though.

 

This, through and through. I normally enjoy Colonel Bob's commentaries, but the tone completely shifted at the main event and he just displayed himself as a biased nonce.

Mayweather won the fight but **** me Col Bob was at his ****-sucking best last night. He seemed to miss that fact that Cotto evaded and blocked a hell of a lot last night aswell.

Absolute disgrace and just about ruined the fight for me.

 

That was awful. I remember in the 8th round Cotto put in some good work and clearly won the round, but commentators just refused to acknowledge it.

 

He was probably told by HBO to paint it for Floyd and just took it to the extreme.

 

It was embarrassing.

At times I went into a wishful daydream, hoping/imagining Cotto would complete a round and jump through the ropes before running over to colonel Bob and let the punches go whilst screaming "ARE THESE LANDING YOU ****ING FAT ****?!?!" :twisted:

It really was cringe worthy although I've always thought Sheridan was a shill tbh.

 

I was getting so, so angry last night. Was an absolute **** take. Like it has been mentioned, he effectively said 'Floyd letting Miguel think he's in the fight by letting him land some jabs, what a genius!' Floyd was good last night, but in equal measure so was Cotto, and there was no recognition for him at all. I think the 4th (?) was Cotto's round by a mile, and he was almost dismissive 'I think Cotto may have snuck that round'.

I think I threatened to **** him on the RBR thread last night :shock:

 

Colonel Bob also made factual errors. He kept saying that Canelo is 23 when actually he is 21.
