Worst referee bias I ever saw was Eder Gonzalez vs. Juan Coggi I. It is so bad it is laughable, or maddening, however you want to take it. It is straight shocking.

Here's another one of the worst refereeing jobs I have ever seen. Not only was the ref totally incompetent, allowing flagrant foul blows throughout the bout, but he made up new rules that boxing has never even seen before or since, and was so confused as to what to do that it is obvious, strange, and eerie, and the fact that this doesn't get discussed more is somewhat boggling. This is one of the worst endings to a bout ever.

    Gainer v. Norwood

    Good choices.

I've always said that Coggi-Gonzalez was the most corrupt red
job I've seen, while Norwood-Gainer was the most incompetent.

Coggi-Gonzalez 1 is probably the most outrageous robbery ever.

This one shows an appauling ref. job. It's a great fight though and fortunately had the correct winner. But the ref? Ppphhheeeeewwww!

The Reff in the Cotto vs Corley fight in PR was pretty bad.

What I'm seeing is a ref who completely missed a kd blow, tried to waive it off as a slip or something, then when he realized the guy was badly hurt and couldn't/wouldn't get up, decided to overrule himself and call it a knockdown, and gave him a count, starting from 1, which naturally allowed him to be down for a very long time.

Your probably right. If you watch the ref it took him a second to even notice Hernandez was being sent to the canvas, I don't know where his mind was. Then you can kind of see him waving it off as a slip as the camera pans toward Hernandez.

    Terrible job regardless.

The odd part is that Braithwaite had landed several bombs prior to the KD. Some of those shots had Hernandez wobbling pretty bad, so the ref should have had an eye on him. Instead he was more focused on the guy who was brought in as the opponent.

Fortunately we got the right winner in the end and the fight in itself was excellent.

The Gainer- Norwood fight truly was incompetent BUT those fighters were truly stupid... How would you expect to win when all you are doing is fouling??????? Act like a professional for crying out loud.. we always blame the ref but Norwood is always in a dirty fight and this fight, the fighters were acting like amateurs... Even though the ref showed his stupidity by giving my man a 20 count after he got hit in the testicles.....:patsch:patsch:patsch:patsch

I think you are talking about the second fight mate.

But yeah it's not the first time a former fighter or celeb-ref. has been a bad referee.
